Also on most web sites, the running time is listed as 135 minutes plus
overture - Loading Image...

The Korean DVD is almost 138 minutes with no overture, intermission or
exit music (I don't know if it ever did have them).

The French Blu-ray is listed on Amazon as 144 minutes but the reviewer
here says "Running time is 142 minutes with the intermission and exit
music, but not the overture." - http://www.dvdclassik.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=33580&p=2170238#p2170238

Even at 60 mins this tedious film would be too long.

The film had no overture in its Cinerama run. It's a turkey from the
ground up. Photographically it was a good looking film, but that's
where it ends.

I
I saw CIRCUS WORLD at the FORUM Theatre in Sydney, Australia circa
1964-65. It was the second
film to be released using the 70MM "rectified" print process. It was
not shown in CINERAMA in Sydney
and a normal non-rectified 70MM print was used.
Both "rectified" and "non-rectified 70MM prints were available for
this film.

Peter Mason
