I disagree.NOTHING is impossible.They once said that man would never land on the moon but they did.That there would never be a horseless carriage but there was.We can never say for sure that there never will be 3D without glasses in cinemas.
Nothing is impossible? Taking a cue from your "man on the moon," I have yet to
see a politician (who remains alive) physically contort enough to stick his own
head up his butt. They also said we would have flying cars (but we don't)
Any civilization advanced enough to possibly have such a group display would
have no need of bringing people into groups like that. It would be like
installing mufflers on a horse carriage.
Anyway, the laws of optics allow for zones where one of the two images in
binocular vision predominates, but without head tracking and major continuing
adjustments, people move in and out of those zones. Maybe if the entire
audience was kitted out like Robot Chicken with head restraints it could work.
Otherwise, no.
