According to Vince Young there was a special screening(that was open to the public)of This is Cinerama on Friday Morning 28 September 1952 at 10 AM.
If you're out there Vince perhaps you could confirm this.

Actually 28th September in 1952 was a Sunday not a Friday.
That means the premiere was on a Tuesday.
